ENGLISH:
Monstrarium Vivens began before a blank sheet of paper, without a prior plan or any intention of building a universe. The first forms appeared through watercolor, and with them came beings that still had no name, history, or defined function. The repetition of these appearances eventually revealed a larger structure. Relationships, territories, behaviors, and conditions of their own began to emerge among the figures. This is how the Inhabitants appeared, and around them, Monstrarium Vivens.
Each Inhabitant possesses a particular configuration. Some embody recognizable fears, states, or conflicts. Others exist outside these categories and remain partially unknown. Some inhabit precise territories, others appear under specific conditions, and there are also those whose rules only begin to reveal themselves over time.
Monstrarium Vivens has no closed taxonomy. Its structure grows from what appears.
The Codex Monstrorum records this process. It brings together the identified Inhabitants, their characteristics, territories, behaviors, and the different forms through which they come to manifest. Some have extensive records. Others remain as Inhabitants Ignotos, known only through the image in which they first appeared. The Codex allows for these differences because recognizing a form constitutes only one part of what may eventually be known about what inhabits it.
Watercolor was the first territory of appearance. Over time, some Inhabitants acquired volume in ceramic, while others passed into silver through jewelry and handmade objects. The same existence can move through different materials while preserving its configuration. Each manifestation retains the traits that make the Inhabitant from which it comes recognizable, while the material introduces weight, scale, texture, temperature, and new physical possibilities.
Some manifestations remain within the Monstrarium Vivens archive. Others acquire Depositary status and become available to pass into the care of a Custodio Vivens. The Inhabitant remains registered within the Codex Monstrorum. The manifestation changes location and continues its existence within a collection.
Monstrarium Vivens remains open because its construction is still taking place. New Inhabitants may appear. Those already known may reveal characteristics that had previously remained hidden. Territories, materials, relationships, and categories that do not yet exist may emerge.
The Codex grows alongside what it records.
What began before a blank sheet of paper continues forming its own structure as it exists.
